Thread: Lost Network after Hibernation

    Default Lost Network after Hibernation

After I put 11.0 to hibernate, I lost my network when the system woke up. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? How do I get back my network?

have you tried opening a console & issuing the command
    Code:
     rcnetwork restart
you will have to su to root to run the command

i did it, ok with no reply
    but:
    ifcfg (Nicht verbunden)
    MAC : 00:0f:ea:35:92:68
    • Gertename: eth0
    • Automatisch bei Kabelverbindung gestartet
    • IP-Adresse zugewiesen unter Einsatz von DHCP4

    normal start (like now) says:
    ifcfg
    MAC : 00:0f:ea:35:92:68
    • Gertename: eth0
    • Automatisch bei Kabelverbindung gestartet
    • IP-Adresse zugewiesen unter Einsatz von DHCP4

The rcnetwork restart what deltaflyer44 suggested should work. From the other hand I faced with the same problem in 11.0 with my laptop, then this problem was fixed in 11.1.
If you don't want to update the whole system, update your kernel at least.
    Good luck.

thanks for your answer, but it is original oss 11.1
    new and not updated

    rcnetwork status says:
    ==============================================================
    jo111@blechbuechse:~> gnomesu /sbin/rcnetwork status
    Checking optional network interfaces:
eth0 device: nVidia Corporation CK804 Ethernet Controller (rev a3)
    eth0 ifplugd is running
    eth0 cable is connected
eth0 DHCP4 client (dhcpcd) is running
eth0 . . . but is still waiting for data
    eth0 IP address: 192.168.178.41/24
    eth0 waiting
    pan0
No configuration found for pan0 unused
    Checking mandatory network interfaces:
    lo
    lo IP address: 127.0.0.1/8
    secondary lo IP address: 127.0.0.2/8
    lo running
    Checking service network . . . . . . . . . . . running
    ================================================================
    waiting and waiting aso
and so ifcfg says: "not connected"

    any idea?

Unloading kernel module (most probably the infamous "forcedeth" ****), loading module and then rcnetwork restart should work.

If that works, add the respective commands as extra hook as described here:

    Pm-utils - openSUSE
