Talking What was your favorite openSUSE version?

and why was it your favorite as well?

My favorite was openSUSE 10.2 because its the only distro I tried at that that impressed me enough to leave Windows.

Still some quirks here and there, but openSUSE 11 wins for me... Many improvements and usability has never been better!
    Have a lot of fun!

I like 10.2 as well... but 10.3 is good (evolution is broken though).

I run 10.3 at home and 10.2 at work (have to use something that
    speaks native MS Exchange).

I haven't tried 11.0, I've decided to wait for my boxed version
to arrive... then I'll try it out. My friends are really liking
    it though.

Currently it's definitely opensuse 11 for me because of the improved package management which is much faster and better to use.

Of course the other versions worked well for me, but only 11 fixes the only really big issue of the previous versions: the slow package management.

/me preferred 7.0, most of the stuff you wanted you had to compile ( command-line heaven ) stable as a rock it was

Package mgmt was almost lightning fast from 8.2 to 9.3 (here and there).
Just fyi. 10.1 messed everything up. The 10.1 - 10.3 series
was slower than the 7.x - 8.0 series (which was really slow).

openSUSE 11.0 works very smooth on my systems so I voted for it. My previous fav version was 10.2 as I skipped 10.3

10.3 for me 10.1 was a horrible mess, in 10.3 I could actually use native package management

11 was a good release though, but still 10.3 was a relatively bigger enhancement

Anything from the 9.x series was superb.

I'll go with the 9.x series as well. It stole me away from Mandriva, and really impressed me as far as Linux went. That, and it had me ready to trash the XP partition.

I'm not saying it is better than 11.0, it is simply my favourite. It worked well, was extremely stable, and introduced me to a whole new world of Linux. 11.0 is great, and after going through the 10.x series, things can only get better.
