    Default Marking as Solved

Is there a way to edit the header to add [Solved] to the end of it so that people looking through (possibly with the same question) know it's a solved one and may have their answers or lead them to somebody whom they can PM with similar questions?

I've seen in one forum (can't remember which one) there was a link or a checkbox that put the [Solved] on the end automatically.

If the OP will PM a Mod or use the "Report" button, we Mods can do it. However, as some other member may post a question in that thread, we generally don't do that w/o the OP's request

If it is marked as "Sovled", you Mods usually close the thread?

It's left up to a moderator's personal preference. Some do, some don't. From what I've seen, most don't.
I will not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. ... Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I usually do not as a member (like a newbie) may want further info & step-by-step explanations laid out.

That actually isn't a bad idea since it is easy to search by or including tags. I think you might be on to something.

It actually wouldn't but neither would changing the subject to add Solved after the fact.
