Hi,

I'm having trouble getting my wireless to work at my laptop. I've tried many distributions such as ubuntu, linuxmint, suse 10.3 and my card refuses to work. Any ideas how to make my wifi to work with suse 11?

I haven't tried any driver since i don't know the exact model of my card

hmm, don't see anything related to wireless devices, is it plugged in/ switched on ? can you post the results of this command /sbin/lspci -v so we get a more verbose output

There is a switch that when it's turned on there's a light that appears only when using vista. In ubuntu, suse etc the switch is on but there is no light. is hte command right, because i get "No such file or directory". I'm using a live cd

command is correct, best thing to do, is switch it on,so the hardware is recognized & then run the command ( copy/paste if necessary )

ok, having a darn good look around, i have discovered it could have one of two chip-sets.

Atheros = you need madwifi drivers madwifi.org - Trac
Realtek = RTL

try them one at a time
