Thread: OpenSUSE menu "Failsafe" leads to GUI...?

Cool OpenSUSE menu "Failsafe" leads to GUI...?

    I installed OpenSUSE 11.0 today.

I found this rather odd, that is, Failsafe choice on the Boot menu leads to the graphical login instead of the console. I first noticed when I needed to go to the command line to configure my Nvidia card via sax2. I chose Failsafe and lo and behold, ended up at the gui login (!) I have customized the line with [ init 3 vga=0x314 ] and it works, but has anyone else noticed the two gui startup lines? Weird. Did someone miss this before the iso was released?

Failsafe has always started xdm (X).

It simply disables acpi, apm, dma and a lot of other things that may cause issues.
