Thread: Route help - switching from Fedora

Question Route help - switching from Fedora

I've just switch to opensuse from fedora and I'm having trouble setting up my route the way it was in fedora. In fedora I used the following file to supplement my route:

    /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/route-eth0

    It contained the following:

    172.16.0.0/16 via 172.17.1.22
    224.0.0.0/4 dev eth0

My question is, what is the appropriate name/location for this file in Suse and is the syntax the same?

So to answer my own question:

The equivalent file seems to be /etc/sysconfig/network/routes and the syntax is different. Still working on getting a multicast route going...
