HELP! Can't burn dvd properly...

Hi there, I have tried 2 times to download OpenSUSE 11 DVD, and burn it at the slowest speed… The first time was through the internet (HTTP), and the second time it was through a torrent… The first time, I booted the DVD and everything worked, untill I went to install it, and it wasn’t letting me, because there was an error… The second time, I was actually installing it, but then a few packages were missing and it told me to abort what I was doing… So, is there any way I can download the DVD CORRECTLY, and burn it so that it will work…? Thanks…

Try to check md5checksum if are correct.

A friend of mine downloaded from a mirror (Don’t know exactly which one) but the md5 was not correct and wasn’t able to finish installation, telling him to download from the Official website solved it!!

Don’t know bout your case but also compare the md5 after burning also before download.

Mighty help.

How do you know you are not downloading it correctly? Did you verify
the md5sum? If not you are wasting time and bandwidth when the first
download may have been just fine.

Good luck.

Thanks for your help guys, I didn’t need it, because I just installed their LiveCD from the official website, and that worked to install the OS completely! I’m typing on OpenSUSE 11 as we speak… It’s BEAUTIFUL!!!
