OK, bad me. I got carried away in Gnome, tried to turn on 3d effects and now when I log in I get a solid white screen. Wondering if I can go in and delete all the Gnome settings, in essence force it to see the user as a new gnome install.. not sure what those are. I went after the obvious ones (gnome, metacity, etc.) but no joy.

Thoughts? Oh yeah, and like a real idiot I did this as root, so I cannot just "drop" the user and then read
