Default Sound "skipping" in openSUSE 11

I have noticed that sound under Amarok, Kontact (or rather kmail when the new mail bell sounds) the sound skips for a couple of seconds. I know it is not my music, because I was listening to it just a couple of days ago under 10.3 and they were just fine. I have Amarok setup to use Xine, and using KDE 3's PIM on KDE 4 (can't set up my IMAP under KDE 4's Kmail else I would use that). Does anyone else have this problem with a similar setup?

Try adjusting skip prevention under control center, sound system, general tab. At least that's where it is on KDE 3.5.9

Ok, this problem is limited to KDE 3 apps running on KDE 4, I went into KDE 3 and set the skip prevention buffer as large as it can get but the sound still skips but not as bad as it did.
