Default Cannot see my other partitions

Hi, I have just installed openSUSE 11.0 and am quite new to the system.

I know that openSUSE can read/write to ntfs partitions, so I created a partition on my hard drive that I could access using Vista or openSUSE.

However, when I open "Dolphin", the file manager, I cannot see any of my partitions at all.

    Can anyone please help?

Run fdisk -l to see the partition names. Mount the ntfs partition to an existing folder on your root partition. Make it permanent by creating an entry in /etc/fstab. Now, to describe all of the details in between would take a small book. Try a forum search on mount ntfs for details.

try to go to root folder(/)and then find windows folder. if it is empty,
then see /etc/fstab. let me know if you are anyhow unable to follow up or
    need more help.

Well it seems that i have the same problem.I have WinXP running parallel to open SUSE 10.3. I wanted 2 update 2 SUSE 11.0 , so everything seemd 2 be fine(Install + config).... I wanted 2 switch 2 windows but it just wouldn't boot... so i checked in Linux and saw that the other partitions r missing. So i used the LiveCD Knoppix and could see my missing partitions.
