    Default Date problems

    I don't know exactly where to post this but here I go.

    I don't know what is wrong with the date configuration because it always jumps to random dates and sometimes it stays okay.

    I always, everyday, set the correct date to work but I'm really tired now because is pretty frustrating make stupid changes every single day.

    here a output of the date command

    * castord,

    mainboard battery empty? If so, use NTP, as Henk said. If you are on a corporate network, you'll probably have a local timeserver, else use one from the NTP pool. Yast has a nice self explaining module for it.

    Oh, and we are talking about physical hardware right? Because the time problem inside VMWare machines on AMD CPUs has driven me crazy for a long time :-)
