Question how to use multi quadcore xeon

Hi, my name is holger bellem, germany, and i am totally new with linux.

    I have a little(?) problem.
We plan a new server on pc base.
    Hardware: 2 xeon 5300 1,86GHz, 4 500GB harddisks in a raid5 array on a 3ware raid controller, 2 dvd burner.

My question: can linux11 work with the 2 procs/8 kernels
without any problems or do i need a server licens or what?

    Thanks in advance
    Holger

    I have a 16 CPU system running 10.3 so I'm sure it'll work fine on 11.0.

You do not need a server license - it's completely gratis, in other words free.
