How to drag files to home directory

This must be a KDE4 thing, but how do you drag a file from the desktop into the home directory? When I drag the icon it slides under the file manager window! Why would it do that?

Which file manager are you using?

I’ve seen similar things happen but it was always when I was being
silly. Make sure your mouse is the thing going over the directory and
that, when it is there, the directory changes colors (maybe even looks
like it’s open a bit more) and you’re not just putting the outline of
the file over the directory as that doesn’t count. It’s all done based
on your mouse pointer. This is all based on previous experience with
KDE/Gnome as I have not seen KDE 4 yet.

Good luck.
