It would be great if there were a link to the forums on the openSUSE.org page.
If you click the Wiki button on the first section (titled openSUSE), it brings you to the OpenSUSE main page. Not the same page as you posted, but it's the welcome page.
Folding@Home Help save lives with Folding@Home
I'd rather have a fourth link on the front page that sends users to the Communicate page. That way the users can pick the method of communication they prefer.
I will not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. ... Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
IMO a link to openSUSE Help would be the best option, I'm not even sure how little people actually know about the page
"If it ain't broke, find something wrong with it"
Now that's a good one. Isn't that linked on the default desktop?
It is, but how many people will keep those icons
Not me! There is also openSUSE Lizards, which I only discovered a couple of days ago. How many of these places are there?

Interesting point; I made a list of the ones I can remember at Subdomains - openSUSE. Also, the new openSUSE 11.0 will have a prominent link to the openSUSE forums in the first popup openSUSE welcome screen (with the icon on the desktop).
How come the IRC channel has to make do with suse-irc.org and not be based at irc.opensuse.org?
