cannot open applications ( desktop icons) when using file view widget

When using file view and change location desktop to custom location where I placed desktop icons.
I cannot open the applications only when I use location Desktop.
Is this a bug.

Something with "icons". Is this on a desktop?

File viewer widget added to desktop
Then with leftmouse button open configuration and set
Location desktop to custom view.
Now we cannot start applications by clickin on the
icon.desktop if i change location to desktop there is no problem. But i want to show my application icons in the ordered folder and start. It always worked on opensuse leap 15.1

You missed the clue! Which desktop? KDE, Gnome, XFCE, LXDE, Mate. We are not mind readers.

Default so KDE
