Keytouch: How to get new keyboard layout to run autom'lly
I've a problem with the keyboard definition utility Keytouch: After setting up a new keyboard layout and restarting my system, the new layout is not applied automatically; rather, I need to start the Keytouch configuration menu and click 'ok' there.
Apparently an old problem, found this archived thread:
Using Keytouch On Opensuse 10.2 / Kde - openSUSE Forums
So, this problem hasn't been fixed yet? Do I still need to setup a script at boot time for the layout to be applied, or is there an easier way?
Re: Keytouch: How to get new keyboard layout to run autom'll
Make sure that the "keytouch-init" service is running. In kde you can do this by going to "Applications -> System -> Administrator Settings -> then select "system services (runlevel). You should see an entry called "keytouch-init". Make sure that this is enabled.
Hope this helps
