    Searching with zypper

    This document will cover the details of how to use zypper to search for information. The command line tool for managing software on openSUSE is zypper. You may have used zypper, or seen examples of zypper usage, for the installation of software. But zypper can also search for packages in repos and with in the installed software to provide you with useful information. E.g.: .
    What package provide a certain library and in what repos I am subscribes to is that package available; . What versions of a package are available on what repos and what is installed on the system; .
    What packages belong to a Pattern.
