How to make Yast use the QT UI
If you don't use KDE, your User Interface (UI) will probably be GTK. This UI is inferior to that provided by KDE's QT UI. Software Management is made much easier and clearer by making sure your UI in Yast is QT. Here is how to switch. Open Yast
Now navigate and edit as shown here:
It may be necessary to install yast2-qt package, depending on your installation.That's it.*Full functionality may not be in place until you reboot.
