Good Day Boys and Girls

Whoa! What a brain teaser. I have opensuse 11.4 I have installed XAMPP and is operational. Installed apache2 and opensis. Apache will not run error:

"Mini-Max:/etc/apache2/vhosts.d # rcapache2 start
Starting httpd2 (prefork) httpd2-prefork: Syntax error on line 205 of /etc/apache2/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 2 of /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/opensis.conf: /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/opensis.conf:2: <Directory> was not closed.

The command line was:
/usr/sbin/httpd2-prefork -f /etc/apache2/httpd.conf"

On line 205 I have: Include /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/*.conf

If I look at vhosts.d directory I have :
" ============================================================================
" Netrw Directory Listing (netrw v140)
" /etc/apache2/vhosts.d
" Sorted by name
" Sort sequence: [\/]$,\<core\%(\.\d\+\)\=\>,\.h$,\.c$,\.cpp$,*,\.o$,\.obj$,\.info$,\.swp$,\.
" Quick Help: <F1>:help -:go up dir D:delete R:rename s:sort-by x:exec
" ============================================================================
../
:q
opensis.conf
vhost-ssl.template
vhost.template
~
~
~

If I go to oepnsis.conf, I get:

"Alias /openSIS /srv/www/openSIS
<Directory /srv/www/openSIS>
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
/Directory>
~
~
~"

At one time, I did get it to run but when trying to install opensis, I ran into permission problems. Any single doc for running this software? Opensis site is a pain to navigate.

Best Regards

Hi,

try editing opensis.conf to make the last line read
</Directory>
(i. e. insert '<' at the beginning of the line).

Bye,
