Though this is not the answer you are searching for, I would advice you to contact open-slx (http://www.open-slx.com).

in the past you used to be able to buy Suse Linux Professional (8.3 and 9.0) from PC World, off the shelf I think it would be amazing if the boxed version with printed manuals and original discs was sold mainstream throughout the world, I personally would love to Distribute it with a New PC instead of Windows. Most of the computer stores I visit would sell it, is it possible to purchase it wholesale from Novell and distribute it? There is the problem with Microsoft's Reps telling the stores its illegal to sell a computer without a copy of Windows (I think MS would say a Licensed copy of windows but retailers take that to mean Windows general). I think if stores refused to sell it - you could possibly bring in competition laws but if it isn't available for them to sell, then they can't even if they want to.

The other issue is that Microsoft Advertise on the TV all the time - Linux never advertises.. If we could get boxed retail versions, sell them and market them I think this would do a lot to increase awareness.

Who would be the best person to speak to about obtaining quantities of the Boxed Versions? Lets say I wanted to Launch this with the release of openSUSE 11.4?

Hi
open-slx, the distribution of the boxed set is not done by Novell or
openSUSE anymore. http://www.open-slx.com/doku.php

Well done, good on you. I'm sure there must be an openSUSE wiki page you can add your link to, if you haven't done so already?

Nice site.
I had the opportunity to be the reseller for the U.S. but turned that down. I don't like sales. I hope you do well. I wish you all the best.
