It's not that I'm a fan of it. But most people won't care. Look at how happily people store stuff on Google or Apple services. I think it is possible.

This carelessness is exactly how people give more control over to the corporations, even if not intentionally, which in the end results in Big Brother knowing even more about you. I also use cloud services but to a limited degree and the mails on gmail are mostly about development work... nothing really sensitive
