I'm fairly certain the kde43 is a freeze on 4.3.1
And from what I can tell the Community repo to match is not available.
It was available in the kde42 set

Just have a look into the subdirectories and versioning of packages.

That's why I will wait for a few days (and see what happens in the other repos).

I was reading a message in the ML and it looks like kde43 is 4.3.2. I tried adding it in place of factory and it seems to be offering 4.3.2, but it's not all updates but includes a load of rollbacks (eg: compiz).

I didn't run it. I'm sticking with Factory for now until 11.2 is Final

Curiosity got the better of me. I swapped to kde43

I still have the community factory though. And there were no issues with that.

Amarok now requires password (have not looked in to disabling it yet)
screen:

Gwenview much the same, but a screen anyway

So is it safe to switch to 4.3.2 from the KDE:/43 repo? Those role backs you mentioned worry me.

Nothing to worry about. I'm running sweet.

Thanks for the link.

On checking through the 43 repository filter in yast, I seem to have a lot of red items. Many of the apps / components I have installed are at a higher version number than the 43 repo's version.

E.G. my yast2-control-center is at version 2.18.11-4.1-i586 but the 43 repo version is 2.18.11-2.2-i586. I have many cases like this. It seems that the versions on the Factory repo are at a higher version than the 43 repo.

Should I do an unconditional update on the 43 repo or only do upgrade if newer version exists? What I'm basically asking is will my higher versions work fine?

That's what I did. All is fine. If you get errors you can't work thru. Post it here.

Just so there is no confusion. This is great for trying out and install, but not for upgrading existing installs as being discussed in part here.
Thanks for posting @oldcpu
