is it possible to include somewhere within that reusable
announcement/milestone release format one more line of text, something
like: [following the existing "Test now and give feedback
via our bugzilla..."] and ask questions/discuss in
http://forums.opensuse.org/pre-release-beta/

Great, I'll try it soon.

I have been trying the previous milestones, but unfortunately my wireless didn't work and I couldn't be bothered with trying to fix it for a milestone test.

As this is the last milestone I will get it working and give it a proper test, I will be upgrading to 11.2 soon as there are so many improvements on 11.1.

Regards,
Barry.

With M7, the wireless worked for the wireless drivers that use
mac80211, which is most of them. With only limited testing of M8,
things still work, at least for WPA2 using NetworkManager and KDE.

Just installed 11.2 Milestone 8 on a Thinkpad T61p. Wireless networking does not work.
When I use KMenu to open NetworkManager, nothing happens - no application opens up.
What should I try next?
(Yast tells me to use NetworkManager.)

An honest answer: a stable release, i.e. 11.1, or wait a bit for 11.2

To add: this is in Tech News, you'd be better off posting in Pre-release and Beta's.

Thanks. Posted elsewhere. But I thought your team wanted testers for 11.2 milestone 8? I resolved the network issues and noted a couple minor things that look like problems with milestone 8. I hope that's useful.
