Default Novell: new SUSE training & Red Hat migration offer

Quote:
Novell has taken two more steps to bolster SUSE Linux in the IT channel. Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions is now a Novell Authorized Training Partner in North America. The move comes as Novell strives to migrate Red Hat Enterprise Linux customers to Novell SUSE Linux. Here’s the scoop and some perspective from The VAR Guy.

As a commercial company, Novell should play all kinds of cards. My personal feeling is that they will find it difficult to convert any Redhat installations.

Same here. I think they are approaching it wrongly. Instead of perusing RH customers to switch over, make SLES/SLED more attractive (and better?) so new customers will choose it instead RHEL

Also, to add further, Novell really needs a new merketing team as the current one sucks at marketing

This is a problem with so many IT products and companies.
"Well marketed" vs "technically better".
Well marketed: Micro$oft, Oracle, Redhat.
