Mandriva is my other favorite distro. I have tried others to find that openSUSE and Mandriva are for me.

Mine is PCLinux. It's the one I'd use if there were no Opensuse.
If there were neither of them I'd use Ubuntu.

I am using opensuse for home and work. vritualbox with windows for work is needed for some kind of work that i can not make with linux

next i try debian or mint

next next is RHED or Mandriva

and last is slackware or Gentoo

Arch Linux, but lately it has been TOO cutting-edge for me. (this is why I might move to openSUSE as my main OS and leave Arch for tinkering only)

I chose Ubuntu, PcLinux and other. For other I it would be Sabayon and Puppy Linux. All for desktop operating system's.

Currently I only have Suse on this computer as well duel booting PC-BSD. I maybe getting a home server set up soon in which case I will be using SME. I want a separate firewall/gateway on an even older computer but I am not sure what Distro I will be using for that..

While Fedora is likely the distribution I would move to if there was no openSUSE, the truth is the only other distribution that I typically keep hanging around (and regularly keep an up to date liveCD) is Sidux. I find that cutting edge liveCD distribution has possibly the best hardware detection in Linux, and I have used it various times when other liveCDs have failed. I believe Sidux is from the "unstable" (sid) branch of Debian, although having stated that, an "unstable" Debian is typically more stable than various other distributions.

[Still - having typed all the above, I AM still a big openSUSE fan]

None.

If SuSE goes the way of the dodo someday, I'll simply stop using Linux completely.

That won't be a problem for you as you're a slave to Jobs Maybe start planning beforehand how to replace all the SUSE server at work with Xserve and pay yourself blue (OMG what a joke!)
