Default CPU Temperature

Based on the KDE system info, my CPU (a core 2 duo) runs anywhere from about 40C to around 72C . What do others report?

I have seen mine go as high as 50c. But that was during some very heavy use. My usual range is between 38 and 43.

My laptop is currently at 40 degrees Celsius. That's only because I have an external fan underneath it. Otherwise the temperature skyrockets and my system slows to a crawl in which case using firefox would be enough to make it freeze.

On my laptop the only hot thing is the GPU. On KDE4 it was 70+.

Mines running at 36C right now and goes up to at most 42 on full load
Have a Zalman CNPS9700 on the CPU and 4 Noctua NF-P12-1300 silent case fans keeping things cool and quiet

Probably standard Intel fan and a air flow in the case + some dust
