Default What Desktop Environment do You Use? Take Two

There was a poll on this a while ago (do these things ever close?), but I think it would be interesting to see what the usage patterns are now that KDE 4.2 has launched. I tried to be as inclusive as possible; hopefully almost everybody should find their DE on here.

I accidentally double posted (without the poll). Could a kind-hearted mod please delete the duplicate?

You left 4.1 (for those not adding extra repositories) and 4.0 (for those running 11.0) out.
Might have been better with a checkbox poll btw, as some run more then one.

Currently Gnome on Fedora and openSUSE although that might change (probably) when KDE 4.2 is available for openSUSE.

Argh. I meant to put in KDE 4 (not 4.2), but I messed up. As this forum's "editing-previous-posts" features are somewhat pathetic, I can't change it now (though perhaps another kind-hearted mod could?). For now, please take "KDE 4.2" as "any version of KDE since 4.0".

Ditto with the title. It should probably have been something like, "What Desktop Environment do You Prefer?". Live and learn, I guess.

It already is available! Just add these repos to Yast and upgrade:

download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openSUSE_11.1

download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Extra-Apps/openSUSE_11.1

download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Community/openSUSE_11.1_KDE4_Factory_Desktop

Thanks zak89 . Are these repositories (Factory) safe to use, as in the stable versions of KDE 4.2. I assume if I entered these repositories, I would need to disable the stable one?

zak,
Great coverage on the poll I don't know which but I'm sure despite your best efforts you missed at least one.
As for me I've been using KDE4 since 4.0.4 in 11.0 & been through each incarnation. After all I went through with KDE4 I'm very happy to say I'm using KDE4.2!

I'm sure I did. As the poll is limited to 10 choices, I couldn't even give "Other" as a choice.

I am a happy camper with KDE 4.2! Great stuff. Actually it was available from the Build Service before the official release! So I got a early bird treat. Rock on, openSUSE KDE team!

I voted for Gnome just because I'm forced to use it
