So..... Pain Killer 101.
Try to get along with your fellow humans. A little bit of patience, some compassion, calm understanding, and a lot of ... "ah just ignore it". Can go a long way to finding every opportunity we have to get the most out of almost any moment.
If we want to compare our various platforms of choice with pain in mind.
For Linux issues you have universal free basic coverage. You can get as much pain as you like and the pain killers are usually free, or can be had for a reasonable discount. If you want something stronger for your pain and need professional assistance... then you'll pay for what you get. If you didn't pay a dime and never have.... you pay for what you get. Why complain here? It was free and you shouldn't expect the world to drop on it's a*ss and serve your every desire because... you downloaded something for nothing and something went wrong. Sorry... no refunds for something that is free and no one owes you a d*amn thing for your frustrations. You are your own pain killer and there are hundreds of people who want to help you... but we have to build a communication bridge first.
For Windows... you've always paid for what you get or if you didn't pay for it... shut up and go get a job. If you're not happy with the product try Linux, BSD, Solaris, or freedos, for free. If free isn't good enough try something else with your money. The rule is... you pay for what you get. If you pay for it... get your money's worth. If you run Windows on poor equipment... always remember... "you pay for what you get". I know that a well doctored Windows system on hot hardware can do some serious... sh*it*. We all do... the truth is that Microsoft knows that also and so does the rest of the world. If you pay for something always remember... you pay for what you get.
For Apple... you paid though the nose for it... and I hope it felt good. Knowing that... call Apple technical support and b*itch to them. You paid for that extra special customer service; there for... demand it. Please remember that HP sells Mac killers for about 400.00 to 600.00 cheaper and I know you can install OS X 10.5 and 10.4 on some of that hardware. I've helped others do it. The OS might be worth something but the hardware is just the same as everyone else's boxes but it's a "B" grade and not a "C" grade product on the consumer shelf. Sorry to say Mac fans... you pay more for your pain killers and you paid more for the pain.
We pay for what we get.
If you invest the time and effort into building communications bridges amongst your peers.... you'll pay for what you get! You'll find that the investments you make always pay dividends. Try it! We pay for what we get.
