Not Ready for Prime Time II
In posting I had hope of starting a conversation among those of you who are rational, inteligent and knowledgeable in the interworkings of Linux. A conversation along the lines of - I understand your frustration however to fix XXXXX would only cause another set of problems - Yes that is a problem and it is being worked on. I did get a much better understanding of why Linux use is stagnated at such a small percentage of computer users. Instead I recieved irrational, juvenile and paranoid replies of the reality challenged and social dysfunctionals, vitriolic in term and temperament. To those I say I truly feel sorry for you, I cannot imagine what it must be like to suffer the affliction of Asberg Syndrome. I advice you to get out of your mother's basement and seek treament. In sum: This conversation can serve no further purpose. To one and all I say to you loudly *.*.* linky1st (Life long member of the ******** Society) Last edited by swerdna; 08-May-2009 at 16:28. If you want to flame, go to alt.flame on USENET.
If you want help with problems, seek help in the support sections rather than posting a rant on the soapbox hoping that someone will "sympathize" and ignore the ranting tone of the post and instead offer to help. That's not how one gets help. How one gets help is to try something. If you have a problem, then instead of expecting help in reply to a post titled "Not Ready For Prime Time" (which most will take to be troll-bait), find an appropriate support forum and ask a specific question about the problem there. For examples on how to ask for help effectively, please see Eric Raymond's excellent essay on asking smart questions at http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html Follow esr's guidelines, and you'll find you'll get much more helpful answers. @linky1st: It seems from your first post that you had a bad experience with openSUSE. What a pity, sorry for you.
I draw your attention to our board policy regarding objectionable language. openSUSE Forums - Forums FAQ: openSUSE Forums FAQ Legal - openSUSE I've modified your post accordingly. Swerdna

Really i cannot understand what this man wants. He is not obliged to use Linux ( any flavour) while the most of us are obliged to get windows when we buy any pc. So simply don't you use it. You are free to do that. About the percentage: what about Osx? I know that Linux has problems due to development model but i prefer not to have the soup already done, as we say in italy. But this is another thing. When i was an electronic engeneering student i used to solve problems not to copy the solutions. I think it's all. The religion wars never helped the people to be happiest. Stop: change os. Chrisantine was right answering the first tread this man posted
