Thread: 12.3 repos

    Default 12.3 repos

    Hello all

    I made a fresh install of 12.3 and i was looking for the repos to Packman/Vlc/Nvidiadrivers and i only found for 12.2 and other versions.
    Will the site (https://en.opensuse.org/Additional_package_repositories) provide such repos to add, or is the factory ones still available to 12.3?
    13.1 is now in factory so i believe the factory repos wont work anymore.

    Anyone have a clue?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi, yes I used them earlier now yesterday (GMT/UTC) for 12.3 final. Forget factory till next pre-release testing.

    They are there for 12.3, less than halfway down that page

    Hi
    Packman should be there, I've asked my VLC contact about enabling the
    12.3 repo, that may take a day or so.

    I'm using your link and seeing Tumbleweed, 12.3, 12.2 etc. in that order.

    Here's the link to essentials for 12.3: Index of /suse/openSUSE_12.3/Essentials/
    Here's the link to multimedia for 12.3: Index of /suse/openSUSE_12.3/Multimedia/

    I just used

    Yast --> Software Repositories

    and then I clicked the "Add" button.

    On the next screen, I checked the box for "Community Repositories", then hit "Next"

    And the repos that you are looking for were on the next screen.

    Why do it the hard way, when the easy way is simpler?
    opensuse factory; KDE 4.14.1 (main desktop);
    opensuse 13.1, KDE 4.11.5 (laptop);

    "And here is how to add the all-in-one Packman repository (which doesn't make any difference for Factory, Tumbleweed and Evergreen_11.1):

    Version: FactoryAll of Packman zypper ar -f -n packman Index of /suse/Factory/ packman

    I always used adding manually because by googling back in the day, was the most constant answer i found, thats why. But thanks a lot.

    I honestly don't understand that difference. I believe you. Unless your browser is somehow stuck in the past. Can you use those links I gave? Do you need some more links?

    Or try @nrickert suggestion to see them with YaST

    Yes, old habits die hard. I forgot about the YaST/Community repo method, again. Back in the day they weren't so reliable.
