    Default 11.4 Evergreen Install

I'm testing 11.4 Gnome on my eeepc
Can someone using 11.4 Evergreen please confirm their repos.

I have switched the oss, non-oss, updates to a active supply and updated
I added the Evergreen repo for 11.4 as outlined in the wiki
And it looks good as far as I can tell.

    Any tip are welcome too

Not sure exactly what you mean by verify; these are the repos I'm using for
11.4 Evergreen. YaST does not report any errors. Note that
download.opensuse.org still has the 11.4 repos and is even doing some updates of
software (e.g. the binaries for Samba-4 are in the /Samba: repo )

AFAIK the software on ftp5.gwdg.de is the same as that on download.opensuse.org
when 11.4 went out of support. At sometime I guess I'll need to change over to
dwdg.de but for now using both is redundant.

eventually i'd expect the links at download.opensuse.org to stop working..

when i have the old update repo enabled (your #10 above) in "zypper up"i
    get a comment like
    [quote]
Warning: Repository '11.4-update' appears to outdated. Consider using a
    different mirror or server.
    [quote]

note: you #10 in my list is named '11.4-update'

it is my understanding (maybe faulty) that the evergreen repo you have
as #9 above is _the_ complete set of updates from day one of 11.4
through EOL and all of evergreen up to today...

and therefore your #10 is only a duplication of _part_ of the full set.

at any rate, i disabled that old update repo, and YaST stopped
    complaining...

theoretically, to keep Evergreen current i think (unless i want to
install new software from the old 11.4 oss/non-oss/etc) i need only
enable what you have as #9 and run either 'zypper patch' or YaST Online
    Update.

I have these repos enabled for Evergreen (11.4 Gnome):
    Code:
    # | Name | Enabled | Refresh | Priority| Type | URI

     8 | openSUSE-11.4-Oss | Yes | No | 99 | yast2 | http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.4/repo/oss/
    11 | subpixel | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/namtrac:/subpixel/openSUSE_11.4/
Normally I have Packman at a higher priority, but do very little multimedia on that Gnome2 partition, so didn't bother to change it.

In processing the install I presumed 'Updates' would have additional software patches that 'Evergreen' doesn't cover. Once fully patched I added Evergreen and applied it's updates. All looks good to me..

    No, that is faulty.

My #2 (caf's #9) Evergreen contains only 284 possible updates, whereas Updates for 11.4 has 2040 in total. Also I saw Evergreen trickle in from empty.
