    Default BrowserID Log-in planned?

I was just wondering if there are any plans in the works to switch to BrowserID for log-ins.

Mozilla is in the process of changing all of their sites over.

There are no plans to change the authentication mechanism beyond
replacing the backend server with updated hardware and software that is
    back in support.

That link does not explain very much. It is only a manual about what to click. But what it does, how it works and how secure it is, and all the other things one should know before a new way of authoritation is missing from there.
