    Default nntp gatway down?

Is it just me or is the nntp down, my reader complains now for more than an hour that it cannot get a connection. Do others see it as well?

It looks to be the NNTP server/service - the gateway is still trying to run, but it's not what your newsreader actually connects to.

I'll see if I can find someone to escalate it inside Novell.

is that your observation of the facts, i.e., NNTP not working, or a comment on new company / server policies you're aware of, i.e., NNTP not deemed necessary or useful anymore?

by the way, last evening i got vBulletin error messages (on the db being broke) for about 15 minutes last night (afternoon in Salt Lake)....maybe in 'fixing' that someone 'unplugged' the nntp server ?? (just thought i would mention, in case that _potential_ connection it is helpful to the fixers)

i don't know what to do with all this free time--maybe i will go chase loose . . .

Having no nntp gave me the time to play with the Mageia 2 alpha. Dangerous times for my openSUSE

We had some trouble yesterday with the forums. Kim will attend to the ntp side once he comes around from his Nocturnal Slumber

NNTP service will resume normally ASAP. Unfortunately the management of such is down to a limited number of individuals (myself not included)
