Get to a root terminal and type “rcmysql start”. Then look up the logs to
find the exact error.

I must have given you the wrong filename for the msqld logfile - i cannot remember if it is /var/log/mysqld.log or /var/log/mysql.log
Take a look in the /var/log folder. There should be a logfile for mysql (probably called mysql.log or mysqld – something like that), would you post the last few lines of that file once you find it?
(I dont have access to a linux machine at the moment…work only uses windows )
Is this the correct file ? /var/log/mysql/mysqld.log

May be the fastest solution is to uninstall/reinstall mysql ?
a/usr/sbin/mysqld: Disk is full writing './mysql-bin.~rec~' (Errcode: 28). Waiting for someone to free space... (Expect up to 60 secs delay for server to continue after freeing disk space)
Looks like you are having disk space problems. You can check how much disk space you have by typing “du -h” in a terminal.

Im pretty sure you arent running another mysql process, but just in case, try “ps -e | grep mysql”
It was solved by removing mysql and manually delete any files left over.
Is this a fresh install of opensuse? do you have anything in your mysql database? Reccomend you research the disk space issue before reinstalling mysql. If the disk space isnt a problem, then consider installing/uninstalling.
