    Default Problem of WIFI RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC

    Hello,
    I've installed OpenSuse 11.3 these days and it works without problems except my WIFI. I've tried to configure it with YAST but ... nothing, although I've installed the driver that I found on : Realtek.

    I give some results of commands :

    But it doesn't work at all. What should I do please?

    Your posted link is to the driver for a USB, not PCI, device. The correct driver
    is likely
    http://218.210.127.131/downloads/dow...#RTL8191SE-VA2.

    Please post the output of '/sbin/lspci -nnk'.

    So, if the driver really took, you reboot and then start YaST / Network Devices / Network Settings. You should list both your wireless and hardwired connection. If no wireless, then the driver did not take. I found the following on installing this driver.

    The driver on the Web site should work, but it does need firmware. Did you
    install it?

    You should look at the output of 'dmesg | grep firmware'.

    Yes I've installed the driver rtl8192se and even rtl8192-firmware. what do you think?

    Nothing is happened by useing the first command!!
