Your webcam is a 0c45:6310 Microdia.

It works in other distributions? WHAT other distributions ? Did you have to do anything special on those distributions? What application did you use to test in those other distributions?

What openSUSE version are you using (I can't tell from your post) ? What desktop are you using ? (kde ? gnome ? lxde ? xfce ? I can't tell from your post) ?

What application are you running to say it does not work in openSUSE? Did you try running wxcam? It is packaged by Packman packagers Did you try running kopete (if using KDE) ?

I checked out the following: and did not see your webcam (which is a 0c45:6310) listed.

I also checked out the microdia site: microdia | Google Groups and I did not see your webcam listed there.

Still, I note the microdia driver is the sn9c20xx, which you can install (if using openSUSE-11.3) by temporary adding this repository:
    Code:
    http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/drivers:/webcam/openSUSE_11.3/
and install the rpm applicable to your kernel. I assume you know how to add a repository ?

Reference your kernel version, you can check your kernel by typing:
    Code:
    uname -a
and then if for exmple you have the kernel-default, then you would install the rpm: sn9c20x-kmp-default-git20100630_k2.6.34.7_0.5-2.11

With a different kernel you would install a different rpm.

saw what in Kopete ? Do you mean you saw a video from the Webcam in Kopete on the other distributions? Do you mean you saw nothing in kopete on openSUSE?

I can NOT tell what desktop you are using from what you provided. ... Please read my post again and answer the questions I asked. Thanks!

first microdia i think that is a card reader
secondly , i tried to boot ubuntu live and install cheese to see if the camera working and the answer is no
futhermore , i tried to detective the camera from skype and kopete and dont worked
also when i had kubuntu in kopete was working ( it was b4 the accident )
now when i run the wxcam w/ gui i got
    Code:
    Cannot open /dev/video0.
Please check if your system has the correct driver for your webcam, or change the webcam device in settings->preferences.
also i put every driver for webcam ....

Do you have a USB card reader? Often card readers are PCI.

No, I think that 0c45:6310 Microdia is your webcam. Take a look here: Wrong palette with V4L2 : ZoneMinder (post at Posted: Wed Dec 17, 2008 11:44 am , where they claim it to be a uvc compatible webcam).

Note it is important you are accurate here.
