Default Convert dss and ds2 audio files. Possible?

DSS and DSS Pro file formats are used by professional voice recorders such as the Olympus DS-4000, Olympus DS-5000 and Philips LFH-9600. Is there any known program running under Linux to play and/or convert these files into something more compatible?

    I found this online:
The Think Tank How to convert DSS files to .mp3 with ubuntu linux
Unfortunately I couldn't find any Linux software to do this so the guide suggests using Wine with some Windows software.

Thank you. Yes, I saw that work-around too, but I would need something useable from the command line. There is another tool for the Mac, but no source. Otherwise it could probably be hacked to work under Linux.
