    Default Why aren't my posts counted?

    Hi,

    I post via NNTP. I changed my address to match my forum address. If I click on the link to me in one
    of my posts, it takes to my page. But the "find all posts" says I have only posted one post, which
    is not true:

    <http://forums.opensuse.org/members/robin_listas.html> --> [find all posts]

    However, on the right hand on any recent post from me, there is some brief info about me, and says I
    posted "41" posts, which is probably correct - at least, since I adjusted my address, I have some
    500+ posts with the previous address.

    What's the problem with the search link, find all posts?

    Hi
    That's because all your previous ones are called 'Guest' until you have
    associated your email <-> forum account.

    For example this one;

    In any case, the value of your posts is more important to me then the number. And I value them, I consider you one of the better contributers to these forums (for what my ideas about this is worth tp others).

    @Carlos: I just drew the conclusion you had moved from using NNTP to using the forums interface...
    - Athlon X6 3.6 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, 64 GB SSD, 3 TB of disks, GT540, openSUSE Factory + KDE
    - ASUS A73SD, Intel + GT610M Optimus, 6 GB, 2 x 120 GB SSD, openSUSE Factory + KDE

    i reported that problem in July..
    http://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php?t=443109

    it seems the function which build the search db is broken..

    apparently they can manually update the db but haven't (or can't) turn
    that over to cron..

    be patient..

    No, I know that. But I have forty something posts (associated), and the search only finds one. Well,
    two today.

    Thanks O:-)

    I know the number is not important. Just a curiosity. Hey, some were boasting of their first one
    thousand posts, so i wanted to see how many I had :-p

    No... I simply made my "from" address on NNTP match the one I get via forum. Makes more sense, I think.

    I did post one yesterday via forum; I was in a hurry to get that post to the involved person (HD
    probably broken, must replace it fast, if I'm correct in my guess), and NNTP has a longish delay. I
    found the web interface awkward for me... and got no reply from the OP. Either his computer broke
    down finally or he hasn't read it yet.

    I got a PM that they are working on it. I have no hurry, once I know that the problem is known :-)
