Repository 'openSUSE-11.3-Update' appears to outdated.

Hi,

I’m using openSUSE 11.3 M7, recently I’m getting following message -

linux-kqyd:/home/anant # zypper up
PackageKit is blocking zypper. This happens if you have an updater applet or other software management application using PackageKit running.

Nothing to do.

Please let me know what should I do to get updated 11.3 repositories

As 11.3 is still 18 days from release this should have gone to Prerelease/Beta.

Do you want this to be moved there?

Well, yes. But my question is, the repository will be the same in final release, isn’t it? or do I need to download the final release the and install?

No the repository will be different.

For 11.2 it is http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.2

and for 113 M7 it is http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.3 and I’m sure it will be the same in the Final Release as well. Possibly there will be a different IP addess for this dns. Please make me correct if I’m wrong.

Just ignore it
The repo does nothing to speak of ATM. To get real updates you have to add other factory repos. Unless you are in to development, just wait it out.

Hi
At the moment, 11.3 Update is just a placeholder with test files until
the release goes live. Likewise the 11.3 oss and non-oss link to the
factory-snapshot when for example RC1 was released.

As you might have found out, your question is a typicaly prerelease one. But the knowing guys have found you, thus I will levae the thread where it is now.

Thanks guys, the issue is resolved, and it happend automatically … I’m on the openSuse 11.3 final now. 11.3 is SOLID release I didnt have any issue in its beta stage and I never felt that I’m using Beta.
