    Default Printe HP DEskjet D1660

    Hello,

    I can not install on my computer LENOVO ThinkPAd sl410 the printer HP D1660,

    I try YaST, hp software and cups, probably is the wrong controller.

    YaST can found the printer, but the printer do not responde.

    That printer should work with HPLIP installed.

    Have a read of this HPLIP guide for openSUSE

    AFAIK, you will have to be root to configure with hp-setp. Use the 'su -c' command in a terminal, before executing hp-setup.

    FWIW, HP have a HPLIP webpage, however the hplip package from openSUSE should be ok.

    See how that goes.

    That appears when I execute hp-setup

    Did you try that command as root or regular user?

    That's the problem. Why my computer can't found the printer??

    I don't know. Plug in your printer (turn on) and type
    Code:
    lsusb
    You should at least see an entry relevant to your printer.
