Hey folks,
I just put together some CD labels for 11.2 since there haven't been any new ones in a while. You can find them here: CD and DVD - openSUSE I'm curious as to your feedback... Do you like/dislike? Why/why not? |

I like them! Too bad I've got no hardware to print it in full color right on the DVD.

Super Artwork. Has anyone tried printing them in mono on a lightscribe disc?

I hadn't thought of that- while I do have lightscribe discs.
It would probably still look good- see the attached- I dropped the saturation to 0% and upped the brightness a touch. A good trick for LS discs is to burn the same label image twice- it enhances the contrast (but edges may get a bit fuzzy). |

Vintage PC,
It's fantastic. If I able to download the openSUSE 11.2, I will certainly use it. I have a lightscribe here but haven't tried it. Maybe it's about time to search around on how to use the lightscribe in linux. I think even printing in mono your work will still be pretty because the tone variations were neatly done.

Thanks- glad to hear you like it- I put a lot of work in to getting the layout to balance nicely. If the labels are very well received, I will maintain them for future versions as well.
(There is Lightscribe software for Linux, called "4L" or something like that, as well as a bunch of base packages. I think they were published by LaCie.) |

Very nice indeed, especially the fact you inclmude the content in the design, rather than just mension in text. Very Nice. -- Any time things appear to be going better, you have overlooked something. |

I added the icons for two reasons
![]() - to spice up the CD cover - To make it easy to discern what the CD is at a glance (for those of us that may burn multiple versions). My little contribution to make openSUSE even better than it already is... |
