Sorry to hijack the thread - I noticed you have the sims3 installed. Is that via wine? I'm trying to install the sims2 for my fiance using wine (KDE4 though, not gnome).

It's on multiple cd's, and I can't eject disc1 to put disc2 (or 3 or 4) into it when the installer asks - wineserver is using the mounted directory so I can't unmount it to eject it.

Killing the wineserver process lets me eject, but then the installer doesn't respond to anything after that.

I saw that you can map the 'D:' drive to the cdrom mountpoint in winecfg, but as the mountpoint changes (eg from /media/sims2_cd1 to /media/sims2_cd2) with each cd I don't see how it would work - in fact it doesn't, still won't let me unmount the drive (found that one with a google search).

In short, how the hell did you install it?

Well, it was only a matter of time before I did this, lol.

First, one of the things I love about my current Suse set up is how I can put my mouse pointer on a folder and a preview window pops up that shows the folders contents. You can scroll in that window to the file or folder you need. You don't have a bunch of windows open and you don't have to click until you get to the file/folder you want to open.

Here is a shot of Suse 11.1, KDE 4.3 with Plasma/Compiz



Ok now here is a shot of Windows 7 Ultimate RC with Aero.
