It is possible to install low level bash type commands on windows, which might work, but would probably be excessive for this...

My recommendation would be to make a Live CD and do it from that - assuming you have a Windows system with a CD drive?

Hi,
i managed to create 11.2 RC2 liveusb with unetbootin,
from openSUSE-KDE4-LiveCD-Build0339-i686.iso

after unetbootin has finished creating the live usb,
you have to edit the livecd mbrid file located at /pathtoyourliveusb/boot/grub/
, change it with your liveusb device's mbrid

you can get your liveusb device's mbrid with this command
Code:
dd if=/dev/sdx bs=1 count=4 skip=$((0x1b8))|hexdump -n4 -e '"0x%x"'
