Default Yay for OS 11.2 RC1!

I am gonna take a chance and give 11.2RC1 a install on my machine, it will give me a good idea if 11.2 will be right for me as I dont think there is going to be that many new features/bugfixes added at this stage, by RC1 stage you are basically using the final, though the final is usually RC2 not that much different.
Any bugs I see I bet will be fixed so yeh I have no worries on this one.
I dont care, I got a separate /home partition.

I have been running the 11.2 KDE RC 1 on my main machine. I have Intel on-board graphics and 11.2 KDE RC 1 works better than anything else I have ran. There are a few minor bugs but nothing that really effects my day to day routine.

I have ran final releases of other distributions that have not run as well as 11.2 RC 1 and I am pretty happy being able to use desktop effects and enjoy full screen multimedia playback again.I am looking forward to the 11.2 final release.

Alright first complaint, I cant get my monitor to keep my desired resolution.
I want to make my monitor resolution to be 1070x768, but when I set it my mouse disappears!
I also see the display option is gone in 11.2's yast, why?
What are we going to compete with Ubuntu by having users manually edit xorg to get a better resolution and graphics card settings?
I want my display to be 1070x768, as its my highest res.
And I want that as my default, what now I have to edit xorg just to see my mouse pointer?
Whos the moron who took out the display feature out of YAST?
This makes OS 11.2 LESS user friendly not more, and I hope its fixed for the final.

No, it was not removed.

No, you don't need to edit xorg.conf manually.

You can still use sax2 as before.

There was a good reason it was removed from YaST, search openFATE/bugzilla/etc. before calling other people "morons" without knowing the backgrounds.

Seems morinic to me, but I did see it in the menus so issue fixed.
But yeh this caught me off guard, as I usually go into YAST and edit my monitor from there.
Another issue I see though is when I do change my settings with SAX2 it goes wonky and comes up with a terminal...
It came back to normal but might put new users off, we may want to warn folks about it on the tutorials.

Feel free to do so and also don't forget to add links to the respective sources, explaining why it was removed from YaST.

PS: is there a real question in here, or is it simply a rant? If it's a rant, I'll move it for you to the rant area.

Yeh it was a little rant, sorry.
It just seemed stupid to remove a useful tool from YAST, I mean yes it has its own menu entry but YAST is supposed to be a config center for all major settings.
Including monitor
