I had similar problems when I updated to 4.1.86. I disabled auto log-in and that solved everything.

I'm using the UNSTABLE repo for 11.1, not the factory one.

Updating right now. Wonder if they fixed the KDM4 issue.

That might solve my problem too. Should have thought of that.

I don't use bluetooth, so I don't know for certain. What do you mean by bluetooth? Do you have a certain app in mind?

I did a fresh install and upgraded to 4.1.87 and still have the aforementioned problems if I use the auto login.

Something is different during the boot up when auto login is turned on. The first boot screen shows the fat, dark gray bar, then I see the nvidia splash, then it goes back to the fat bar again and pauses for about a minute. Then it takes me to text mode even though it's in runlevel 5.

When everything is working right, I should get a thinner silver bar after the nvidia splash.

I tried to downgrade to 4.1.3 but I destroyed my system .
So I installed openSUSE 11.1 again.

I'll try the autologin fix on my pc.

I have been good with 4.2 beta for quite some time. I ran these updates and it has lost transparency in the desktop folder view. All text that was previously white (clock, desktop icons) is now dark grey. The desktop Numbers have gone in the pager.

Transparency is fine here as you can see from the pic
