I have created a video tutorial about how to create a software RAID-5 with yast in openSUSE 11.1 32 bit.
In this scenario we have three SCSI 20 GB hard drives and after creating this RAID-5 distribution we set the ownership to a user called easgs in the users group, then we use the df -h command to check the disk space in the distribution, the new partition will be mounted in /datos and will be formated with the ext3 file system. you can download the video at: How to create a RAID-5 in openSUSE 11.1 « Weblog Tecnologico |

Nice tutorial, I would recommend using YouTube or some other service to embed the video to make it a little easier to watch. Also, if you're interested you could make this tutorial into a video. I made a text and picture tutorial on how to setup software RAID 0, 1 or 5 under LVM on OpenSUSE 11.1 (GNOME) . I've been using RAID under LVM as a home file server for a week or so now and it's been working great so far.
