Default Backup/Cloning/Bare-Metal-Restore OpenSUSE

In the archived sections of the old forums, I had written a how-to about using open-source tools to backup/clone/bare-metal-restore OpenSUSE. This is found here:
N(.)(.)b's How-to To Opensuse Total Backup And Bare-metal-restore - openSUSE Forums
I would kindly request from the mods, if they find it appropriate, to bring that thread back to life, in order to put all the information about backup/clone/bare-metal-restore close together
for easy reference (especially for first-timers)
