I was unfortunate enough to have to download openSUSE 11.0 9 times, each time with a checksum error, before I found this helpful post on the internet and managed to repair my corrupted downloads. I was using Free Download Manager and I everytime openSUSE failed the integrity check, I would have to restart the entire download, which would take me another 2 hours. The following link provides a very helpful, easy, and quick method to repairing checksum errors:
Ultimate windows tips: Cleverly Repair Large Corrupted Files with BitTorrent Client Checksum Hash Scans P.S. for step 1, just use the corresponding torrent from software.opensuse.org |

Just a nitpick. You are actually repairing the file. The checksum is the evidence that the file repair worked. One doesn't repair checksums for the sake of the checksum.

Oh, right, never mind then. I didn't know everyone already knew it, I should have probably looked around a bit more. (btw I know it doesn't repair the checksum, I just miswrote)

No, don't apologise. It's better that you had posted it than if you hadn't. There might be some people who don't know. It wasn't a big post anyway. No big deal.
