If you have problems with Firefox 3, as it was my case, and you want to go back to Firefox 2.
Download firefox2-2.0.0.14-3.2.i586.rpm from here: RPM Search firefox2-2.0.0.14-3.2.i586.rpm Now download firefox2-translations-2.0.0.14-3.2.i586.rpm from here: RPM Search firefox2-translations-2.0.0.14-3.2.i586.rpm Open a terminal: # zypper remove firefox Put the 2 rpms you downloaded in a new folder, imagine you name it "firefox" Open a terminal: # cd firefox # rpm -Uvh *rpm Done! Please notice that # means that you need to work as root.

.14 is two minor releases out of date, .16 came out yesterday.
You can use the generic tarball if you can't find a RPM. Get it from mozilla.com, though you may have to search for older releases. cd /opt tar zxvf firefox-2.0.0.16.tar.gz The binary to invoke is then /opt/firefox/firefox. |
