Default Putting Articles in the HowTo/FAQ Forums

Welcome to the HowTo area. Here you'll find guides, tutorials, answers to common questions and tips from community members. There are two forums, the "How To/FAQ (read only) Forum" and the "Unreviewed How To and FAQ Forum".

How To/FAQ (read only) Forum: The "parent" forum contains articles that have been reviewed by a Forums Staff Member and where necessary edited before posting. Most of these articles begin life as casually contributed articles in the "child" forum (Unreviewed How To and FAQ forum). Only Forum Staff have write access to the parent forum. Please contact them for access.

Unreviewed How To and FAQ: The child forum is write enabled for all community members. This forum is where you can contribute knowledge won from your experiences with openSUSE and your interactions across the openSUSE Community.

It's your Community: Please feel free to recommend quality articles from the "Unreviewed How To and FAQ" forum as candidates for placing in the parent "How To/FAQ (read only) Forum". Contact any Staff Member by PM or post your thoughts in the relevant thread in the child forum. Please also approach any Staff Member with suggestions for reviewed articles. They will be very pleased to lend advice and assistance. List of Staff Members.

Don't forget that the Library of HOWTOs in the openSUSE.org Community Wiki is the preferred repository for openSUSE knowledge. If you post here, do please consider ultimately posting your final polished article there.
